- Materials Science
An article submission executed via site using OJS (online submission). If you have technical problems with article download you can send it via email (lepe@kname.edu.ua).
A separate file with the authors' data is attached to the article.
Materials of articles are considered by the Editorial Board based on their compliance with the following requirements of the Journal
- The length of the article is from 6 to 30 pages. Our technical editor will format the manuscript in accordance with the requirements of the editorial board.
- The originality of the article, the presence of scientific novelty, practical significance.
- Correspondence of the article's title to its content.
- Compliance of the article structure with standard requirements:
4.1. Problem definition and substantiation of its relevance;
4.2. Review of recent publications on the topic with the selection of unsolved tasks (problems);
4.3. Formulation of the purpose of the paper;
4.4. Presentation of the original material of the article;
4.5. Conclusions (recommendations) and prospects for further development in this direction.
- The validity of the presented original material and conclusions, including the validity of achieving the purpose of the article.
- Adequacy of the abstract with the materials of the paper and its informativeness.
The article structure must contain the following items:
Title – no more than 12 words.
a list of Authors;
an Abstract should be informative (not contain common words), structured (the presentation of the material should be logical), meaningful (the information should be structured according to the following scheme: Introduction, Problem, Goal, Methodology, Results, Originality, Practical Value) and have a size of 200 to 300 words. The abstract should not contain abbreviations without explanations (even if the abbreviations are explained in the text of the article), footnotes and references.
Key words 4-8 words or collocations, which relate to the research topic, do not duplicate the title of the article, and do not consist of common words
Sections of the article:
Introduction outline the problem statement, justify the relevance of the chosen topic, analyze recent research and publications, and formulate the goal, scientific novelty and objectives of the work. The Introduction section should account for at least 70% of the references used. References should be given in square brackets. No more than 3 sources should be cited in one reference.
The main part present the scientific facts obtained, the methodology for obtaining and analyzing the factual material. It should not be called literally “The Main Part”, may consists of one or more sections, the names of which reflect the essence of the content.
The section describes the main stages of scientific work and justifies the choice of the used methods, techniques, approaches or actions aimed at obtaining new scientific research results. The strategies and criteria for forming the sample are explained (if the article contains an empirical part), the experimental basis of the study is indicated. The presented methodology should provide a complete picture of the progress of the study in such a way that other scientists can repeat it using the same materials and methods.
Results and Discussion
The section presents the main research material with a full justification of the obtained scientific results. Tabular or graphical materials must be provided with the results of statistical data processing. Sources are placed under tables and figures. It is necessary to avoid value judgments, elements of description of the methodology and direct repetition in the text of the data given in tables and graphical material. Numerical results must be rounded according to established rules, taking into account the average error of the experiment, confidence interval or distribution of values. The research results must be sufficiently substantiated, methodologically correctly presented, have novelty and practical value.
The discussion should be based on the interpretation of the research results. In this section, you need to compare your results with the results of works on the chosen topic by other authors: what is common in the obtained results, what are the differences, who considered other aspects of the problem, etc. You need to compare the results of your research not only with the research of Ukrainian authors, but also with the works of scientists from other countries. When analyzing publications on the topic, it is necessary to mention the names of the authors and indicate the essence of their work.
Conclusions summarize the work, scientific novelty and prospects for further research in this area. The conclusions should not be formulated based on the purpose of the work, but should indicate specific achievements as a result of the research. It is important to indicate the prospects for further research on the chosen topic.
Acknowledgements
This section is mandatory and expresses gratitude to individuals or organizations for any technical assistance; ideas; or financial (material) support that made the research possible. If you have no acknowledgements, indicate "None."
Funding
In this section, authors should indicate all sources of financial support received for the research. If no financial support was received, indicate “None”.
Conflict of Interest
Authors must disclose all potential sources of conflict of interest. A conflict of interest is any interest or relationship that could be perceived as affecting the author's objectivity. They must be disclosed if they are directly related or directly related to the work that the authors describe in their manuscript. The presence of a conflict of interest does not prevent publication. If authors do not have a conflict of interest, they must declare this when submitting the article and include an appropriate statement in the "Conflict of Interest" section. The corresponding author is responsible for familiarizing himself with this policy together with all authors and collectively disclosing all relevant commercial and other relationships when submitting the article. Detection of improper disclosure of a conflict of interest during the submission of the article or during the review process may lead to rejection of the manuscript. If there is no conflict of interest, then "None" is indicated.
References
The list of sources used is provided in English (transliteration is not allowed), sources are arranged in alphabetical order, and are formatted according to APA 6th Referencing Style (2010).
The number of sources should be at least 20.
The list of sources should include scientific publications no older than 5 years. A reference to the source (doi, website address) is mandatory. It is very important - 80% of the references should be publications with DOI for the last 2-5 years in the leading world journals Scopus and Web of Science on the topic of the article; the percentage of self-citation is no more than 20%; the percentage of references to journal publications for the last 3 years from the total number of references in the article is no more than 20%.
The list of sources used cannot mention more than two works by one author. There cannot be more than two articles from one journal/collection of articles, etc. The volume of self-citations should not exceed 10% of the total number of sources.
