METHOD FOR THE MEASUREMENT OF THE VITAMIN-D SYNTHETIC CAPACITY OF UV RADIATION

Abstract

For the first time the antirachitic biological activity was measured of the UV mercury lamp DRT-125-1 which is used in many devices of UV irradiation. The original method of measurement is based on the use of the same photochemical reaction which forms the basis of natural vitamin D3 synthesis in human skin upon UV irradiation.
